Who is responsible
Awen Vannier, publisher of thecutlist.org, is the data controller. Contact: hello@thecutlist.org.
What is collected, and why
Only what you type into the application form, and only to review it and, if accepted, publish your card:
- First and last name, country and city: shown on your card.
- Email address: shown on your card, so clients can write to you.
- Profile photo, if you upload one: shown on your card.
- Tools, type of work, rate, first-cut time and weekly capacity: shown on your card.
- Links to your work samples, and your one-line note on each: used for the review. The links themselves appear on your card.
There is no tracking, no advertising pixel, no third-party analytics, and no cookie set by this site.
Legal basis
Your consent, given by ticking the box on the application form. The box is never pre-ticked, and the form cannot be sent without it.
Who sees it
Applications are read by the publisher only. Nothing is sold, rented or passed on. Your email address is published on your card for the purpose of being contacted about work; to make life harder for address harvesters, it is not written in the page source as plain text.
Two processors are involved: Supabase (database and file storage, EU region) and Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery).
How long it is kept
- Accepted profiles: for as long as the profile is listed, then 12 months.
- Refused applications: 12 months, so we can tell a resubmission from a first application.
- Applications never reviewed: 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, to withdraw your consent, or to receive a copy of it. Write tohello@thecutlist.org. A removal request is handled within 30 days, and one email is enough: you do not have to justify it.
If you are not satisfied with how a request was handled, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
